One of the projects I volunteer with, the Seattle Goose Program, made the news this week. It's pretty exciting. Cause they have this new machine called the Goose Goo Gone. I'm not even making this up. The contraption is a welcome addition, since I spent much of my July 4th morning scraping goose crap off the grass of South Lake Union Park so the tourists wouldn't get their shoes dirty while watching the fireworks. I would like to remind you that these are the people who will feed the geese from their picnic baskets, and then complain that they're crapping everywhere. And not migrating. And overpopulating.
A single goose can produce five pounds of poop per day.
*sigh*
Our work is never done.
