These are the Fourth of July fireworks as seen from my upper deck. Please excuse the tiki torch silhouette in the foreground. They shoot the fireworks off of a barge across from our houseboat, so we get a 360 degree experience that includes the smell of smoke, the feeling of vibrations echoing up through the water, and the occasional dusting of ash. Or so legend has it.
It was quite a display this year. Wish you were here.
