Day one of NaNoWriMo 2005. We have lift-off!
But today's biggest achievement was getting VVB to actually start writing. I had cred since it was 6 something AM and I was standing in the pouring rain on my way to Solstice before work to put down a couple thousand words. I'm like biatch, if I can haul my ass out of bed at 6 AM to ride to the cafe in the pouring rain you best be starting your novel today too. None of this "I forgot" bullshit. Or "I don't have time." How long is Loogie Beach or whatever that crap is that you watch on TV? An hour? How many words a minute can you type?
Yeah. You do the math.
I'll check back later. May report from Wishville, which I have yet to tell you about. I've got my own little corner of the Universe in celebration of this undertaking (among others) -- a nook of a loft in Fremont with a desk and music, across from unlimited supplies of caffeine in various forms. What else could I ask for?
An umbrella. Remind me.
